A client commissioned us to build a Favor Cake using a “garden green with hints of brown” color scheme for her rustic outdoor garden bridal shower. The boxes were filled with all kinds of lavender favors (her favorite scent) for her guests; lavender sachets, lavender tub teas, and lavender bath powders. I think it is my favorite Favor Cake yet!

Earth day and spring rain bring two things to mind; the color green and fresh spring grass! Wheat grass is easy to grow and makes wonderful centerpieces, place card holders, and favors. Spring brings new life and renewal to the planet, and you can reflect that by using green grass reflections in candles, placemats, cakes and placecards. Remember to reuse and recycle!

And so are the colors chocolate brown and mint green when paired for a wedding palette. They make a great color combo for weddings that land between the end of Summer and the start of Fall, as the two hues speak beautifully to both seasons!

I loved this wedding found on Wedding Chicks, an organic wedding held at Round Barn Farm in Minnesota. The whole wedding reminds me of the English countryside! The bright flowers are perfect for May… I just love the details!
The wedding was shot by Emily Steffen Photography. Check out Wedding Chicks for more information!

Hi readers! I’d like you to get to know Michelle and I a little better, so today and tomorrow we’ll be sharing inspiration from our own weddings, along with some photos of how the night turned out.
I always pictured myself having a beautiful garden wedding, surrounded by the beauty of the summer in bloom. However, my parents were too fearful of the weather to have it at our house – just too big of a job for them… Read More »
