    Decorating for Thanksgiving

    Posted by Michal

Thanksgiving is a ritual, year after year, and though many of us reuse and recycle elements of decoration from each prior year (mom, the glass pumpkins are getting tired), it’s nice to add a bit of new tradition to the table with some fresh design. Some easy ways to embellish the table or buffet without going overboard is to delicately hang garlands or instead of a traditional trivet for hot dishes, try paper leaves instead. Decorative pumpkins, whether real or … Read More »

    Berry Boutonnieres

    Posted by Michal

When the weather turns and flowers are scarce, berries are a wonderful substitute for flowers, especially when it comes to boutonnieres. The natural color they hold and varying textures make them interesting and are easy to save and treasure as a keepsake.

I love the crisp air, the colors and embracing a season of change by embellishing the home with traditional fall ornaments such as dried leaves, pumpkins, wheat and more. Autumn Sweetness: Honey Favors

    Posted by Michal

We’ve posted before about giving out honey as parting gifts and favors, but I’ve found new inspiration that I just had to share. These DIY honey favors are absolutely gorgeous. Honey is a great transitional favor from summer into autumn, and can be carried into your desserts and even color scheme as well.

    Into the Woods

    Posted by Michelle

This week I saw the whimsical Shakespeare in the Park production of “Into the Woods” with the talented Amy Adams. Seeing the famous Sondheim musical in the Delacorte Theater, which is situated in the heart of NYC’s Central Park was such a treat.  Watching a play set in the woods in the midst of the woods was magical, and inspired today’s favor post.  Just in time for fall weddings too!
